Renew or update your license

You can file for renewal, and administrative updates online at the FCC for no filing cost ,we also understand that the FCC online process is not the most user friendly, if you would like us to handle that for you. The Central Alabama VEC offers license renewal and administrative update filing for free as well.

Instructions for renewing yourself with the FCC can be found at this < Link >

For administrative updates, such as address changes or name updates simply fill out the NCVEC Quick Form 605 and submit it with your updates to vec@cavec.us, and we’ll take it from there. There are no additional FCC application fees required.

For Amateur Radio License renewals simply fill out the NCVEC Quick Form 605 and submit to vec@cavec.us, we will electronically file it for you, however you will be required to also pay an additional FCC application fee of $35 to the FCC.
** Note renewals can only be submitted within 90 dates of expiration or within the 2-year grace period allowed thereafter.
You should receive a payment email from the FCC, if not check cores and make the payment as soon as you can. Applications not paid within 10 calendar days are dismissed by the FCC.

Instructions on how to check on and pay your application fee, regardless if you receive an email from the FCC or not, are found here at this Link

*Do not make the payment via a mobile device! The FCC payment system has a known bug that will essentially take your payment, but never applies it to your bill.

Use a computer to make the payment.
